Today, for the first time this winter , our roofs are covered with snow. It reminds me of a wedding I photographed earlier this year. 11/2/2012, a very special day for so many reasons.
And yes, that’s a frozen fountain, it was -10°c that day.

Karolien en Gert’s day was different in many ways and that’s why we photographed it on film.
Location : The beautiful Heerlijckyt van Elsmeren in Geetbets, a wedding photographer ‘s playground…
Everything you see, like the signs, the map, napkins, tablecloths and all the little flags hanging in the sky where handmade by either themselves or their parents. Wedding DIY 2.0!
Tech note : 100% film, color = portra 160/800 B&W = Tri-x @400 and pushed to 1600. Developed & scanned by Richard photo lab.

Prachtige foto’s. Ik had het geluk om erbij te mogen zijn. Als broer van de bruidegom, getuige én leverancier van twee derde van de bruidskids was het maar erg geweest als dat niet zo was ;-)

Mijn god, Karolien … onze pa had al verteld hoe machtig mooi het allemaal was. Maar nu ik de foto’s zie is het zelfs nog véééél mooier dan ik het mij had voorgesteld !

Beautiful Photographs! The church reminds me of a church I did a wedding at in Tuscany at Borgo Monastero. If I’m not mistaken is this all film?
