Belgian Wedding Photographers Award

Until now it never hit the blog but earlier this year I won 1st place at the Belgian Wedding Photographers award. Being a wedding photographer is the best job in the world, thanks to my couples, their wonderful families and, last but not least, my amazing colleagues all over the world reaching out and keeping in touch. Thanks again to my Belgian colleagues for voting. <3

Melissa & Jan {wedding}

On Saturday Melissa & Jan got married in the beautiful Belgian Ardennes at a magical place called ‘Sechery’. Sara and I were looking forward to their day for a long time. For the first time ever I would be at a wedding as a guest instead of a photographer.  Putting down the camera was difficult but totally worth it. Especially during the ceremony it makes such a big difference. So if you ever are a guest at a wedding put down your Iphone or camera and enjoy.

The day before, on friday, they had their civil wedding and Melissa and Jan asked me to take some pictures,  a sneak peek…

Keep an eye on Jonas Peterson and Tim Twinem‘s blogs, both amazing artists and wonderful guys who did all the hard photo and video work on day 2.
